Dreamwork Psychotherapy Group
I conduct in-person weekly depth analytic psychotherapy groups using dreams as a focus. Please note that at present there are no openings.
Dreams reflect contents being worked through by the mind, outside of conscious awareness. They may be problem-solving; they may bring corrective emotional experiences; they may adjust or complement the waking mind’s attitudes. Most people find that following one’s dreams over time is productive and illuminating.
Working with dreams in a group setting is very intimate, and involves relating to oneself and others in a deep way.
In my dreamwork therapy groups, participants dive into their depths, getting to know themselves and their unfolding in life as never before by making meaning of each other’s dreams. We focus on personal development, as well as on relational processes in the group. It is at times emotionally intense.
Time: TBA - No current groups have openings
Location: in person at 459 Fulton Street, San Francisco (in Hayes Valley, accessible by Muni and BART)
Cost: $100 per session, charged at the beginning of the month
Who can participate: These groups are open to individual adults with demonstrated interest and ability in depth work, which might be through past or current individual therapy, groups, workshops, courses, readings, or other involvement in depth-oriented personal development. Clinicians are welcome, but the groups are not limited to clinicians.
If you are interested, I am happy to speak with you on the phone for 10 minutes about it. We can then have two or three 50-minute preliminary sessions one-on-one together in person (at a cost of $190 each) to determine the best fit for you. If you join a group, there is an initial 4-month commitment.
