Dreamwork Psychotherapy Training Group
I am now forming a weekly online depth analytic psychotherapy training group using dreams as a focus.
This will be a group for clinicians (at all levels: licensed, associate, and trainee) who conduct psychotherapy. Participating in this group will develop ease with working with dream material through experiential training. The group will be conducted as I conduct my psychotherapy groups. This is a learning by doing model.
Dreams reflect contents being worked through by the mind, outside of conscious awareness. They may be problem-solving; they may bring corrective emotional experiences; they may adjust or complement the waking mind’s attitudes. Most people find that following one’s dreams over time is productive and illuminating.
Working with dreams in a group setting is very intimate, and involves relating to oneself and others in a deep way.
In my dreamwork therapy groups, participants dive into their depths, getting to know themselves and their unfolding in life ever more deeply by making meaning of each other’s dreams. We focus on personal development, as well as on relational processes in the group. It is at times emotionally intense.
Time: Mondays 6:00-7:30pm Pacific Time
Location: online
Cost: $100 per session, charged at the beginning of the month
Who can participate: This group is open to individual clinicians with interest in dreams and depth work. Concurrent individual therapy is recommended.
If you are interested, I am happy to speak with you on the phone for 10 minutes about it. We can then have two or three 50-minute preliminary sessions one-on-one together in person (at a cost of $190 each) to determine the best fit for you. If you join the group, there is an initial 4-month commitment.
